ROUTE OPTIMIZATION · FLEET ENABLE TMS
The Cheapest Route Is Rarely the Shortest One.
Fleet Enable sequences stops against the constraints that actually govern a final mile route: delivery windows, service time at each stop, vehicle capacity, crew requirements, and driver skill. The result is a day that runs at the lowest total cost, not the shortest total distance.
Every Route Has Constraints a Map Cannot See
A route that looks efficient on a map can be the most expensive one you run. The stop that takes forty minutes because someone has to carry the item inside. The window that closes at eleven. The lift gate that only two of your trucks have. The address a general navigation tool will happily route a box truck into.
Fleet Enable optimizes against those constraints because they are what determine the real cost of the day. Service time, capacity, crew, and equipment all sit in the plan before the sequence is decided, so the route you get is one your operation can actually run.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is route optimization software?
Route optimization software determines the order and assignment of stops across a fleet to meet every delivery commitment at the lowest total cost, accounting for vehicle capacity, service time, and the requirements of each job.
How is this different from a navigation app?
Navigation finds the best path for one vehicle that already knows its stops. Route optimization decides which vehicle takes which stops and in what order, across the whole fleet, against windows, capacity, and crew requirements.
Does it account for how long a stop takes?
Yes. Service time is part of the plan, so a route with several long stops is sequenced differently than one with quick drops, which is what makes the estimated arrival times usable.
Can it handle jobs needing specific equipment?
Yes. Lift gate requirements, crew size, floor space, and weight are all factored into which vehicle and which people take a job.
Can a dispatcher override the optimized route?
Yes. The optimizer produces the plan and the dispatcher works it. Stops can be moved, reassigned, or resequenced on the board, because the person running the operation knows things the system does not.
How often does the route update?
The plan is built before the day starts and remains editable through it, so a same-day pickup or a delay can be absorbed into a route already in progress.
